विश्व हिंदू परिषद (वीएचपी), बजरंग दल और अन्य हिंदू संगठनों के कार्यकर्ताओं ने मंगलवार को बांग्लादेश हाई कमीशन के बाहर जोरदार प्रदर्शन किया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने बैनर-पोस्टर हाथ में लेकर नारेबाजी की और बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की। वीएचपी ने चाणक्यपुरी में विरोध प्रदर्शन खत्म करने की अपील की है। प्रदर्शनकारियों से पीछे हटने को कहा गया है, हिरासत में लिए गए वीएचपी प्रदर्शनकारियों वाली एक बस आगे बढ़ी।

इससे पहले प्रदर्शन में शामिल एक कार्यकर्ता ने कहा बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं को मारा जा रहा है, यह अत्याचार अब बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जा प्रदर्शन की घोषणा के पहले से ही दिल्ली पुलिस अलर्ट मोड में थी। हाई कमीशन के बाहर तीन स्तर की बैरिकेडिंग की गई है और पुलिस के साथ-साथ अर्धसैनिक बलों की तैनाती की गई है।

सडक़ के दोनों ओर बैरिकेड्स लगाए गए हैं और पूरे इलाके में सीसीटीवी से निगरानी की जा रही है। विश्व हिंदू परिषद ने बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं पर हो रही हिंसा और अत्याचार के विरोध में बांग्लादेश उच्चायोग के बाहर आज सुबह 11 बजे से शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शन का एलान किया था। बांग्लादेश उच्चायोग के बाहर प्रदर्शन उग्र हो गया।
